We’ve seen other content creators and bloggers share a “day in the life” type of posts, and we love seeing them! Sometimes we get ideas on how to organize our schedule or better our time management. Also, sometimes we like seeing the little details in someone’s day like editing and working on a laptop as opposed to all the big, camera-worthy things like events. So, we thought we’d share a day in the life of a content creator and how we stay healthy and maintain a balanced lifestyle!
A Day in the Life
6:15 am: Wake up & get ready for a workout.
We recently haven’t been working out together as often since we’ve been doing different workouts. Jo has been doing more Pilates, and Grace has been lifting more. But we try to work out around the same time if we’re doing it separately or plan for something together, so we can be ready to start work at the same time!
Today, we’re off to do a SoulCycle class together with our favorite instructor David! Spin is one of our favorite workouts. We both always take David since his music and his classes are always on point.
7:00 am: Time for spin!
We love staring our mornings off with a workout because it sets the tone for the day. Even if it’s early we know if we miss it, we rarely get around to doing a workout in the afternoon since something always comes up or we make excuses.
8:15 am: Head home to get ready.
We quickly shower & get ready for the day. Since we’ll be shooting content with a photographer on camera, we’ll be putting on makeup. We typically try to batch our days, so we don’t have to put on makeup everyday.
9:15 am: Breakfast.
We make ourselves a quick breakfast. Jo likes to have some turkey sausage, eggs & hash browns normally. Grace likes to have a protein smoothie. But we always need our coffee & our OLLY Women’s Multi! 10:00 am: Daily meeting
We like to touch base quickly every morning even if it’s for 15 minutes to make sure we’re on the same page. Today, we’re going over what photos we need to get done with our photographer and making sure we have all our outfits & props ready to go.
11:00 am: Shoot with photographer
Today, we have a 2-hour shoot planned with our photographer for a few campaigns. Even though we shoot a lot of our content by ourselves, we like to schedule a shoot with our photographer when we have multiple campaigns with brands.
We work together with her to come up with creative concepts for each shot and each campaign based on the brief.
1:30 pm: Edit photos & work on our own.
After wrapping up our shoot, we clean up and go our separate ways. Since we split up tasks, it’s easier to work by ourselves rather than together. Joanna usually edits our photos & videos, while Grace handles things like our content calendar and our schedule.
But we both love to keep our OLLY Hello Happy Gummy Worms with us at our desk for a little mood boost & pick-me-up! We love how fun they are in gummy worm form, and they taste so great!
5:30 pm: Wrap up work.
We usually wrap up work anywhere from around 5 to 6 pm. We clean up and spend some time with our dogs Gigi and Meeko. Then we’ll grab some dinner.
9:30 pm: Unwind & get ready for bed.
After doing our skincare routine, we’ll get into bed and either read or watch some TV. Once we’re ready to go to sleep, we love our OLLY Sleep Gummies with melatonin & l-theanine to help us fall asleep and stay asleep.
