The holidays are going to definitely be a lot different this year since most of us are unable to travel to see our families and friends. But thankfully, we can still all connect virtually with video chat! We’re used to having at least one fun event with our friends, and we didn’t want to miss out on that this year. So, here’s how to host a virtual holiday party!
Pick a festive Zoom background or decorate your wall.
It’s fun to have something festive as your Zoom background as opposed to a plain wall. You can either send out Zoom background options to your friends in your invite or have everyone pick their own! If you wanted to make it an activity, you can also even have a decorating content to see who can decorate the cutest space at home.
Get camera ready!
Since it is video chat, we like to dress up and get ready like we normally would if we were seeing our friends in person. For our hair, we love to use the Waterl<ss Dry Shampoo No Residue to refresh and add some volume. We simply shake, spray some into our roots, work it through our hair, then brush it out.
Afterwards, we like to heat style our hair. We always use the Waterl<ss Heat Shield Protect and Restyle before straightening our hair to protect it from our hot tools. We shake, section off our hair, spray into each section, then straighten our hair. These products are available online at Target!!
This would also be a great time to add some fun glitter or a bright red lipstick to your makeup!
Throw on a festive outfit!
Just because we’re at home doesn’t meant we can’t get dressed up and festive! If it’s an Ugly Christmas sweater party, throw on a Christmas sweater. If not, throw on something sparkly and festive! Plus since it’s virtual, you can keep it dressed up on top and comfy on the bottom.
Play some festive games.
One of our favorite things about holiday parties with friends is white elephant since everyone gets so into it. It’s a little harder to do, but you could definitely play virtual white elephant or a virtual Bingo!
