To be perfectly honest, we came here just for the photos. After seeing this on everyone’s Instagram and Snapchat, we knew this would be the new “basic b*tch” spot to go to. Also Joanna just really wanted to be a 5-year-old and jump into the germ-filled sprinkle pool (Grace’s words). But we really did have a great time running around and touching everything, when we weren’t supposed to, in the museum.
Unfortunately because of all the people who came in before, 2 of the installations are now roped off so people won’t touch or climb on them! (Way to ruin it for us, guys…) But that didn’t stop Joanna from grabbing the popsicles. (We are in no way condoning touching and ruining art. Joanna is just a rule breaker. Please don’t follow suit. Bad Joanna!!! -Grace)
Surprisingly the sprinkle pool room was pretty fun. Joanna was the first to jump in even before all the kids got in. Whereas, Grace stood awkwardly off to the side until Joanna forced her in at the end for some photos.
If you do go, the sprinkle pool room is timed. You get a few minutes in there with your group. So plan your photos out since those minutes go by really fast!
Our favorite ice cream was the Salt & Straw salted caramel. Our least favorite was the charcoal cookie dough…although that was probably because we thought it was ice cream, not cookie dough and didn’t understand why it wasn’t cold. Our bad haha.
If you have the opportunity to go while the Museum of Ice Cream is still in LA, come prepared to snack and take LOTS of photos. We were so impressed by the girls who came in the cutest outfits with each room pre-planned so their Instagram boyfriend could get the perfect shot.
Let us know if you’ve been and what your favorite room was!
