Get Your Thanksgiving Workout In!

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK?? For the past couple years, we’ve been going to SoulCycle’s 90-minute Turkey Burn class for our Thanksgiving workout. It’s become tradition for us, and we count down the days to it.

We’re not saying you need a Thanksgiving workout. No. Do as you want. We choose to workout because SoulCycle Turkey Burn classes are our favorite.

But if you want to workout, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite studios that are open this year!

We LOVE our yearly Turkey Burn class as our Thanksgiving workout! We went to our first one a couple years ago and became HOOKED! (We didn’t even go to the same class.) We were definitely nervous at first since we had never done 90 minutes of SoulCycle, but the instructor paces it so well. And don’t worry about running out of water. Front desk comes in mid-ride with bottles of water for everyone!

We’ll be at David‘s 9:30 am class in HLWD on Thursday! We’re also considering doing Friday’s because we just love the energy so much! (Read here on why we love David’s classes.)

Speedplay

Class: 90 minute Turkey Burn
Time: 9:00 – 10:30 am

Oh man. If we could make it to this class, we totally would. Xavier Quimbo is teaching the class, and he’s one of our favorite trainers ever. Speedplay already is hard for 60 minutes (mix of running on Woodway Curve treadmills, rowing, floor work). We can’t imagine how great the sweat will be for the 90 minute class!

LIT Method

Class: 60 minute Turkey Burn
Time: 12:00 – 1:00 pm
Studio is also open from 8 am.

We absolutely love LIT Method and are so sad we don’t get to go as much as we’d like! Justin, one of the owners, is teaching the Turkey Burn class. (Read here why he’s so great!)

Love that LIT Method is low impact and doesn’t involve weights or running. But it’s still a high intensity workout and you’ll sweat a lot!

LIT just opened their brand new studio. It looks absolutely beautiful and spacious. We are dying to get to a class soon! Not going to lie… it’s kind of tempting to go to SoulCycle then to LIT Method. But we also know we’d be exhausted, and we need to get to our Thanksgiving day plans. We wish we could just do Thanksgiving workouts all day!

 

Studios that are still open on Thanksgiving

Training Mate

Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Training Mate has 3 classes at 9, 10, and 11 am! Thursdays are their Bondi Burn (upper body) class days.

If you haven’t been to Training Mate yet, you need to! I mean, hot (mostly all) Aussie trainers who tell really bad jokes?? Yes please! Plus it’s a great HIIT workout! (We reviewed their full body class here.)

Carrie’s Pilates Plus

Time: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

We haven’t been to Carrie’s in forever! If you haven’t been to a megaformer class before, think Pilates…on crack. It’s hard. You’ll sweat. You’ll shake. It’s amazing.

Plus their all-white studio makes it super Instagrammable.

Lagree Fitness Studio

Time: 8:00 am – 12:30 pm

If a megaformer class is Pilates on crack, then a supraformer class at Lagree Fitness Studio is…. we don’t even know.

Rise Nation

Time: 8:00 – 10:30 am

We’re obsessed with Rise Nation because it’s a super efficient workout. It’s only 30 minutes on a Versa climber. But you work everythinggg.
